Cassianna Summers, AMFT (she/her)
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. My education includes a BS in Psychology from Cal Poly Pomona and an MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of La Verne. I identify as a white cisgender female. My pronouns are she/her/hers.
I use a holistic approach when working with clients because I believe every individual has unique experiences in their life. What works for one person does not always work for another. I have worked with individuals from a wide range of personalities and lifestyles. I am committed to making sure we are a good fit for each other in order to work on developing insight, providing resources, and learning skills to improve your daily life.
I have experience working with couples, adults, teens, adolescents, and LGBTQIA+ individuals with diverse backgrounds. I aspire to work with anyone who needs someone to talk to whether it be life transitions, a mental health check-in, or anything in between.
I have experience with an abundance of issues including but not limited to; relationship distress, emotional expression, identity exploration, anxiety, anger, depression, parenting issues, grief and loss, family dysfunction, and post-traumatic stress. I like to utilize several theories when working with clients because not every theory will work for each person.
I know how much of a challenge it can be to talk to a stranger about personal topics. If you are ready to take the first step toward change, I encourage you to reach out and see if we would be a good fit. I welcome any questions you may have!”
